Robert A. Schultz, AICP

.Bob Schultz, AICP has partnered with JKA since 1989, providing strategic planning, land use planning, and issue management services to public, private, and non-profit sector clients. Bob has managed a variety of notable projects for JKA including: The Washoe County Issue Management System, a nationwide strategic plan for the USFS Washington Office for Recreation, Wilderness, and Heritage Resources, the Cultural Attachment Study for the USFS in West Virginia and Virginia, the Holy Cross Underground Transmission Line project in Snowmass Village, CO and several private sector land use entitlement projects. Bob also co-developed and delivers "Place-Based NEPA", a course for the BLM's Partnership Series that offers advice for a community-based approach to compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and American Planning Association. He has written land use regulations for public sector clients, prepared applications and represented clients in land use entitlement processes, and has trained local officials in an issue management approach to land use decisions. His other areas of interest include sustainable development, green business development, and community-based economic development.
